Photography is one of my favorite hobbies. When I was younger, my father used to love taking pictures. He would take pictures everything he could until he ran out of film.
I would like sitting with my father looking through the photo albums, and listening to all the stories that went with each picture, my father is a great story teller.
I started to understand why my father was always taking pictures, capturing as many memories as possible. It was so that he could share all his memories and stories with everyone else, like he did with me, so he could look back at his pictures and remember all of the good times he had.
I guess his enthusiasm and interest in photography sparked my interests and curiosity as well. My father wanted to learn more about photography. How did professional Photographer's get those perfect picture's? He got a new camera, he learned what all the different setting did, and how to use them to get the picture to come out perfect.
I finally decided to go to the library and do some research on Photography. I read all the books I could find on Photography, took notes, and studied them. Then I went out and got my own camera, so I could practice taking pictures using the different settings and seeing the difference they made in the pictures.
I got a job at a store in the Photo Department, I quickly learned more and more about Photography. I learned how to develop pictures, it was great.
I started taking pictures of my own. I took some good pictures, and I sent one of them in for a photo contest. That photograph actually got me nominated into the Amateur Photography Hall of Fame.
I guess you can do anything if you put your mind to it. I still ove taking pictures, and seeing how they come out. I get all kinds of crazy ideas for pictures and I need to immediatly go out and buy film so I can try these ideas out. If they work even better.
I don't take pictures for money, at least not yet. I simply do it for the fun of it, and I do have fun doing it. Hopefully some day I will be good enough to have someone buy some of my pictures and have them hanging up so everyone can see them. Someday.
I would really love to go to Africa, and take pictures of the animals, that would be great. What an experience that would be, close up and personal with the Lions and Tigers.
