YES. This country was founded on the Christian beliefs and it has served us well so far. THIS Country was built on GOD. We have stood by this for many, many years and it has worked just fine so far. I am all for letting people come to this country to live a better life than what they had in their country. I understand that. What I don't understand is why anyone would want to come to THIS country and make it the same as the one they left. Every citizen of THIS country has the freedom of religion. That includes the Christian's too. So when it comes to the Bible being used for the swearing in ceremonies and in our courtrooms, I DO feel it is the best thing for OUR Country.

Our country stands for something. We live in a country that has Democracy and Freedom. Yet the people that come from other countries without these things don't feel as if they are treated fairly. I have yet to meet anyone who does not have the same rights that I have once they become a citizen of this country.

I feel that we welcome anyone into our country and all we ask of them is to abide by our rules and laws of OUR land. The language is English and has been for over 200 years. They are FREE to speak their native tongue at any time they wish. They will not be arrested for speaking what is on their mind. They will not be arrested for begging on the streets or choosing to live any way they see fit as long as it doesn't hurt other people in our country.

Our Fore-Fathers trusted in God to get them to this country safely and they stood by him through it all. Our country was simple and good for the most part. We turned our eyes to the heaven's and we prayed for his guidance and help everyday. He was there for us on all occasions. Now it's up to us to be there for him.

The Bible is the book that holds the Ten Commandments from God. There are also the laws of our land. "You shall not murder." "You shall not steal." not to mention the moral standards that the Bible has that most of us in this country still stand by.

The Bible stands for all that is good and is used as a basis of the goodness that this country stands on. Our Fore-Fathers used the Bible to write The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America. When our Political leaders use the Koran or some other book and swear to uphold the Constitution of the United States, they forget our laws were not based on the Koran.

A witness is not asking to believe in God, they are being asked to swear on OUR laws and to obey yet another commandment. "Do bare false witness on thy neighbor." This is how we have done this with our justice system for many years. There is no reason the change it now.
