I make those around me feel free
A lot of stress is relieved because of me
I make people feel comfortable in their own skin
Once they get a dose of me, they always come back again
I am at weddings and all sorts of celebrations
I am a universal language among all nations
I am done for a work out or just for fun
I can attract a group or party of one
They make television shows in honor of my name
I am watched like the world's most popular sports games
When life gets you down I can help make you smile
Even if the happiness lasts only for a short while
What is my name, can you figure it out
I've given you chance after chance
In case you still have some doubt
I'll tell you my secret.... the name is dance.

Poetry: Dancing
Dance
It was only a seaside cafe,
My soul a tendril reaching out
Eagerly cleaving to the silhouette,
Standing on a table near
A Balinese Dancer
Exotic and alluring,
Each movement casts its spell,
Evoking myths and legends,
Such dramas she can tell.
Swaying
DOES HE LIKE TO DANCE
Quiet moments are elusive
Fear born of loneliness is obtrusive
In our fast paced world
by Scott Scherr
Pirouette on Carousel
I penetrate the mist; what's there?
A heart with dreams immune to cares.
Behold such grace of life
On high tip toes
She stretches her leg in the air
The audience is silent
As they mesmerizingly stare
With a twist of the wrist
