In Iraq, Surrender or Defeat is Not an Option!

Having read several different articles, which expressed a wide variety of opinions on the war in Iraq, the one one that struck the deepest chord in me personally, was where a writer said that surrender was always an option. This opinion was obviously written by someone who has never served in the armed forces in this or any other country! The reason I say this is because

if you've ever served in the armed forces of any nation, one of the first thing's you are taught is, never to surrender!

These military lessons are a lot more than just something you're taught as a soldier. These are actually life lessons, if you are sharp enough to catch it at the time, and they will serve you well for the rest of your life. I know they most certainly have done a great deal in helping me in some very tough situations in my own life, and I'm very grateful to have learned them when I did!

I personally am a writer at this stage of my life, but once upon a time, I was a soldier in the armed services of the United States! I happen to be extremely proud of my military service
and the country in which I served, and live to this day!

Now, when it comes to the war in Iraq, we are way past the point of surrender of any type or scale. The fact that anyone, military or otherwise would even give the thought of surrender any real consideration, is a slap in the face of every man or woman in our armed forces who died or was injured in that country! Not to mention, it makes all the sacrifices that have been made by our soldiers and their families, absolutely meaningless! And that dosen't even take into account, all the sacrifices made by every citizen in this country.

We are way past the point of any type of surrender. The truth is, we are winning this war!
Both on the ground and in the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people! There are several different ways that we, the people of the United States can reach out and talk to our soldiers
that are currently still fighting in Iraq. For example, try logging onto Military.com and see what our soldiers have to say for themselves!

If anyone is tired of this war, it ought to be the soldiers. But if you talk to them personally, you'll find that they absolutely believe they are winning this war in every way.
Not one of them will even talk to you about a surrender of any type! You will be lucky if they don't knock your head off for saying something they consider so foolish as to not even deserve
a response.

In all seriousness my friends. There can be no surrender of any type, when it comes to the war in Iraq. There has been too much invested in human life's and the billions of dollars that the taxpayers have given to support their troops fighting in a foriegn land. Do we all want our troops to come home from these wars in Iraq and Afganistan? Of course we do. We want them home now, but unfortunately thats not how warfare works in todays time. There is too much invested in these countries both in human lives and whats at stake at home. Our freedom and the security of this great nation, to just walk away.

It will never happen, and shouldn't, at this point. There is too much at stake on both seperate war fronts. Whether it's Afganistan or Iraq, Surrender or Defeat is not an option!
It never has been, and it never will be. So, through the grace of God let's just all pray that it's over soon, and our sons and daughters come home, Victorious!
