I love desserts. I would say my all time favorite would have to be taffy apple salad. It takes the classic Halloween treat to a different level. If you like Taffy Apples then you will love Taffy Apple salad.
Serving
12 servings
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 (8 ounce) can of pineapple juice
- 4 large apples, cored and diced with peel
- 2 cups unsalted pecans or peanuts ( your choice)
- 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 bag of miniature marshmallows
Instructions
1) In a medium saucepan combine the flour, sugar, egg yolk, vinegar and pineapple juice. Cook over a medium heat until thick as if it's syrup. Remove from heat and chill.
2) In a large bowl combine the apples, nuts of your choice, marshmallows, and the chilled mix. Fold in the whipped topping. It's best if chilled for an hour or so before serving.
