he had to decide what path he would follow, Don decided to try his luck at professional acting.

His first break was in film with a bit part in the comedy Moving Violations, and this was immediately followed with a role on the television series Fame 2, followed by spots in a number of television shows including L.A. Law, Hill Street Blues, The Bronx Zoo, and Night Court. His film roles during this time included the movies Hamburger Hill, Colors, The Meteor Man, and his early breakthrough film Devil In A Blue Dress, which brought him widespread critical acclaim.

His partner of many years and mother of his two daughters is actress Brigit Coulter, who also starred with Don in the film Rosewood. Don is branching out into production, writing, and directing in an attempt to spend more time with his young family and get away from the travel and time away from home that the movie making business demands.

He is an avid poker player that has the distinction of once knocking legend Phil Ivey out of a tournament, and he is a big football fan that has done a number of humorous promotional ads for the NFL.

Whatever Don Cheadle is doing, the one constant will be that he will bring a sincerity and effort into the project to guarantee that one way or another, people will know that he worked his hardest to entertain, and maybe even educate you a little in the process.
