I can't explain it
Like the rest of the world
It's just another
Mysterious thing
Added to my list.
It doesn't take a lot
To find them
To pick them out of the crowd.
All it takes
Is a pair of open eyes
To see the lover
Who's faded away
To see the repeat
In a new relationship
To see a broken heart
Or a broken family
To see reborn hope
In someone's eyes
To see all these things
Before they happen
A strange promise
That they'll come.
What a mysterious thing
To live in a world
Of blindfolded people
Who choose to keep
Their eyes closed.
