Memories of a Canadian home
With the sweetest reflection, and a heart full of longing,
I return to my Canadian home to be reborn.
To the bird song of spring and the heavy perfume of a rose garden
I will return.
To a time of my fondest memories, and sweet friendships,
I return to my Canadian home to be reborn.
To the fragrance of leaves burning in the cool October night, I will return.
To the call of the robin when the ice melts in the spring,
I return to my Canadian home to be reborn.
To the warmth of roaring fireplace, burning briskly, on a Christmas Eve, I return to my Canadian to be reborn.
To the shadows that dance in my minds eye, and to a place that no longer exists, but for the memories in my heart,
I return to my Canadian home to be reborn.

The house is peeling, like my skin
The sun is blaring, like my mind.
