Many talk show hosts have come and gone. If you think about it, the daytime talk shows are now more like the soap operas. You watch, and wonder what they might say, and what will happen tomorrow. The lifespan of a daytime talk show host can be very generous, or abruptly rude. Hear today, gone tomorrow. That's show biz kids. Late night is a whole other ball game. For me, there is no one better than David Letterman. The thing about his show is you get it, or you don't. I think for me, it's almost a feeling of being in on some kind of inside joke. If you watch his show regularly, you understand all the oddball segments of "Will it float?" You know who Rupert is from the Hello Deli. You have seen his mom live on satellite from her kitchen in Indiana, with a fridge full of beer. You get it, that his top ten list is filled with innuendo, and that's why it's funny. David Letterman is the kind of host that can sit back and let his guest be the star. He doesn't hesitate to ask questions we all want to know, but he doesn't ever cross the line. You get the sense that he truly is a good guy. Kind, and funny. Great qualities to come by at the end of the day. Thanks Dave!
