On Sunday night I decided to see the new Batman film which I found was more entertaining than the first one. Heath's performance was more than just a mere thought. His Joker was far better than Jack's, but what got me was the fact that this film was a lot more serious than the first. Bale is still the man and is much better than a few of the other actors. I'm not talking about Michael nor Cloony.
As the film progressed my smile got bigger and bigger since I knew that this film was going to become the next installment of the video game franchise. With all the things involved with the film it felt more like an epic than a single film. Throwing in so many ideas, it taunts you. Making the fans even more eager to see more.
When Harvey Dent came in, I knew I would like it even more. One of the things about superhero films that I hate the most is when the villians die.
With Two Face dead, nothing can happen which is a shame. The fans of Batman not only see the man fighting crime but we get to see these characters come back, never willing to learn their lesson. Batman always interferes one way or another. Either with the old films or not, these supervillians are not supposed to die at all.
Yes, it is sad that Heath died from an overdose, but his memory will always live in our hearts. My sympathy goes to his family.
Now as for Joker, does it really matter how many actors have to play the part. Heath was the third actor and I would love to see this character come back one day. I truly believe that Two Face was stunned by the impact and blacked out by the pain.
The fact about this film which I really enjoyed is that it does have it's flaws and I understand that in every recard. With each character in place and Jim Gorden with his new title I believe that there are more films to come.My best guess at this moment that the Nolan brothers were planning on writing and directing six films. It might not be right but the way things are going I would say I might be right after all.
As a true fan I will always watch and will enjoy the tales to come. Chris if your reading this please consider this, never never get Robin in any of them. I don't like the character at all, but if they breath down your neck to bring him in. At least get a twevle year old boy in there instead of a grown man. It just makes sense, anyway, with the films ever growing fans one would think that there might be a musical. Ha, anything is possible now.
