There are many reasons for making bad choices in life. We frequently let other people dictate our choices for us. For example, my mother would have made an excellant secretary/receptionist. She had the mathematical skills that would have allowed her to enter into the financial world of accounting and bookeeping. She never did graduate from Everett Business College. She did live long enough to watch her youngest daughter receive her Assoicate Degree in General Studies from Everett Community College.
However I tried several times to enter the road paved secretarial and latter on office assistant, but failed! I was never born to become a secretary! But how did I end up with an Associate Degree in General Studies? In 1973 I wanted to become a reporter, my teacher decided I would make a better secretary. He based his oppinion on my lack of ability to follow instructions.
Throughout the years my family and I submitted letters to the editor. Because the submitted letters displayed Journalistic apptitude, my former college instructor lost his job. The only area I ever displayed any real interest was Journalism, according to Everett Community College. He had dumped me into an arnea that did not suit me! Clearly my college instructor and I made bad choices.
I tried several other majors at Everett and Edmonds Community College, but grades and math always seemed to get into my way. Therefore I was surprised to discover that some I had enough of the right type of credits to get a degree I never even wanted! Failure to stick to beaten path in college or life will only lead to failure. I did acquire a well rounded education, but no gainful employment.
People are too easily influenced by popular oppions instead of basic facts. If more women realized that having abortions increased their risks of having brest cancer, and being unable to bear wanted children latter, abortion clinics would become empty. If more young girls and women were not so afraid of being dumped by their boy friends, there would be less unplanned preganices. If their boyfriends truly loved and respected them, they would not insist on sexual satisfaction. They would not drag their poor girlfriends crying and screaming into and out of Planned Parenthood death camps!
Young people and even adults want friendship and acceptance at any cost. They are easily lead into paths of tempation and sin. Most urban cities have overcrowed city and county jails.
