How you get your name on display at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California

The Los Angles Dodgers Club is ready and willing to accept requests for scoreboard messages for fans wishing to commemorate a special occasion or special someone. A special ribbon board sign located behind 1st and 3rd bases has been reserved for fans who wish to see names and messages lit up in blazing glory during home games.

The process is simple, but timing is everything. A limited number of scoreboard messages are available for each home game. All requests and orders for scoreboard messages are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

For a payment of $50.00, in which all proceeds benefit the Dodgers Dream Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization, guarantees the requested message will be displayed for nearly all to see twice during the home game in the middle of the 3rd and 6th innings "immediately after the third out is recorded in the top of the third and sixth innings," according to the official Los Angeles Dodgers Club website located at http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com. Available dates for this service are displayed at the time of ordering.

The scoreboard message board is visible from most seats inside the stadium; however, there are some seats where viewing is impossible. One may wish to inquire at the time of purchasing tickets for the special game if the scoreboard may be visible from the area one will be seated.

In addition to the $50.00 spent for the scoreboard message, the Los Angeles Dodgers Club also includes a 5x7 photo of the message displayed on the Dodger Vision Screen in the left field approximately 6 to 8 weeks after the game. This photo is taken at a different time than the game. The message ordered will not appear on the Dodger Vision or Matrix Board located in the outfield area during the game.

Messages are limited to 40 characters or less. This number represents spaces and punctuation as well. The Los Angeles Dodgers Club reserve the right to edit any message as they see fit. They will refuse any messages deemed obscene or offensive. This includes prohibiting foul language or referring negatively to any other Major League Baseball Organization. Rules also stipulate names of all MLB players are prohibited from being used in messages. Messages are prohibited for commercial purposes, but groups and companies may wish to use this service while attending a game.

Orders are accepted online and must be submitted no later than three days before the date of the game requested. Visit http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/la/fan_forum/score board.jsp to process a credit card order. One may also email scoreboard@dodgers.mlb.com with questions or call 323-224-1435.
