SLAVERY IS ALIVE AND WELL HERE AND AROUND THE WORLD!

Real Life Modern Slavery! (This Is Not Just Another Religious Metaphor! But Real!)

"Set the captives free!"

I was thinking about and praying about which direction, ministry-wise that I might take, and for a long while now I have been concerned about modern slavery and all those poor people being mistreated and being bought and sold like they are only objects to be used until they are no longer any good to their owners and then snuffed out!

I think that we should establish Safe Houses' for those who are slaves in the modern slave business, both here and abroad! There is this little boy in Sudan who is a slave to a Muslim man, and the little boy slave is a Christian, so one day his master decided he would show his little Christian slave boy how it felt to be like Jesus and nailed the little boy to a board!

In the Bible and in World History slavery was a way for the social system in many cultures to function and to get the job done' as it were? And anyone from any race or kingdom or people could be enslaved! Now when we think of slavery in the West, we think of only Black People and the oppression some White People in the West have put them through; but my friends, colour was not the only thing that could get a person or people group mistreated and abused and oppressed, and/or enslaved! Many races and kingdoms and people groups have been enslaved or even slavers themselves!

Statistics now show that there are way more slaves and much more slavery now than even in all of world history! And Jesus came to "set the captives free" and He sent His preachers and ministers to go about "setting the captives free" all over the world as well!

I am a Blogger, a Preacher and a Missionary-At-Large! I was a vagabond, travelling, suffering, itinerate preacher for years as well! And for me, life has never been an easy thing to live but I always had the joy of the Lord Jesus and of His Spirit, and the Father's love to see me through the worst of times and misunderstandings and abuses! And I have seen other people's sufferings and sorrows and intense sufferings as well!

I have worked hard to even pay my way to be a clergyman with my own ministry, and even when I was sent somewhere to minister to those in need, many times it was all at my own expense even while that ministry that I was working for' was lording over me!
So like St. Paul was, I am a spiritual slave to many, and at my own expense! Even now I live mostly on the money that is
