This article assumes that the reader is a network marketer. There are several network marketing opportunities which have different compensations plans and therefore this article is targeted to keep the information generic, which the network marketer can tailor according to his/her MLM network marketing company.

Here are a few key steps in creating wealth in a MLM business.

1) Have a dream

Have a dream larger than your life. Know where you are headed in life. Know what drives you and what your passions are. You may already know them right off the bat or you will need to discover them. Take your time in discovering them. Think about this If you had all the time and all the money in this world what would you do with it? If you were the most influential person in your community what would you do? How would you live and what would you give back to the community if you could.

2) Dreams will lead you to your goals

Translate your dreams into goals Goals should be short term, mid-term and long term. They should be specific, measurable, achievable, reasonable and time-bound. For e.g. I want to start marking $2000 per month in the next 6 months which I will use towards paying off my mortgage. As you see it's a specific goal, achievable and reasonable and is time-bound.

3) Activity Goals

Your goals will decide what kind of activities you need to do to achieve those goals. Network Marketing is all about selling your product and showing your opportunities to others. If you want to make $2000 per month in next 6 months, you need a certain organization or a certain product sale every month from 6 months onwards. To achieve that, you need a game plan to achieve that goal. For E.g. in this case it could be I need one new customer every week and show this opportunity to 10 people every week this would then translate to may be $100 product sale every week and 2 new distributors getting started every week, which would put you on tract to earning that $2000 in next 6 months.

4) A Positive Self Image

A lot of people start doing the activity but fail to have the right attitude. They show the opportunity to 10 new people everyday but fail to register the 2 distributors because they do not believe in themselves. That's where a positive self image comes into play. Reading the right self-help books, hanging around with the positive framed people, listening to self-help audio CDs and keeping away from the negatives in this world will help you maintain a positive frame of mind.
