Apostasy in the church

second group sees religion as a veil that hides God, a gate-keep to keep the clergy elevated between God and the people. When they've asked questions regarding the Scriptures, they get hyper-spiritualized pontifications filled with sound and fury but signifying nothing, not so gentle rebuffs usually meaning "these things are spiritually discerned", and/or evasions because the "spiritual authority" hasn't a clue. These will tend to bounce from church to church for awhile and either join the first group over time, or will choose to separate themselves from other "believers" and follow God on their own. The apostle Paul says that we should not forsake assembling ourselves together with other believers; but when we find ourselves attending the Church of Laodicea, and we read "Come out of her, my people", what are we supposed to do?

At some point we learn that in the Greek anti' and ante' are the same word, meaning opposing yet similar in appearance. Then we are forced by our own convictions to think once more about religion that presents itself as Christ-like, yet often seems to oppose the very words of Christ. A good example is Grace vs. Law, since we're under grace we need not concern ourselves with the Law {10 Commandments} anymore; but Jesus said, "Think not that I have come to destroy the Law, I've not come to destroy but to fulfill it." The examples of the churches teaching things that contradict Jesus and the Scriptures are myriad, and there are few who lack the wit to see them. Realizing these things we reluctantly have to admit that the possibility exists that the churches are an "anti/ante-Christ" system which, if so, is more concerned with controlling people, and opposed to the freedom that Jesus promised those who follow Him.

The "Apostasy" from the churches, as it is generally taught in the churches, is usually seen as a bad thing, but perhaps the above serves as an argument, not against apostasy from the churches, but for it. As some churches and congregations move farther from Christ and closer to the pagan, i.e. worshipping the Queen of Heaven {you know who you are}, maybe this present apostasy isn't such a bad thing after all.

There is one Church, its congregation is made up of God's children, it has no denominational title, it has no buildings, everyone in it has a part which is to be shared with everyone else, it follows the Law of Love, it rejects falsehood, it is open to revelation {humble}, it is meek without being timid, it is unafraid and
