In our world, there are two types of people: who think that judging the crimes is inhuman and who think that judgment is a human right that saves the human rights, and that is the way which Islam looks to judgment
First of all, Islam is the latest religion that believes in god, and all we know that only the master who rules, so our god had put a law in order to make the world a better place to live. And this law, and I mean the Islamic law, has three principal basics:
The first: is that punishment is a tool to stop crimes
The second: the Islam should save the human rights, and the humanity
The third: the human is innocent till it is "proved" that he is "totally" guilty
These three basics had made these rules that we are now making a view point on it, that it is harsh or just.
I'm not going now to talk about all the rules, because everyday we find a new case that wasn't happened before, but I'll talk about how Muslims think and I'll correct some bad ideas about some rules, that any unknown thinks of it.
As you should know, in the Islamic world, we have scientists with their brains and logical thinking who can find and not create the Muslim rights and duties. These scientists bring these rules from the Quran and what happened in the prophet's life, plus the three rules we've talked before. For example, we talk about the woman rights in Islam; woman has the rights as the man, but (now the duties) she has to protect herself by wearing the clothes that don't show her charm, in order to protect her honor (from the dirty relationships), we mention that the human honor is the family fame. Also, as the man is not allowed to do the sweet works because of his nature, the woman is not allowed to do the tough or the judging works (if she was able to stay away from them of course) because she will probably rule with her sentiments.
Also we talk about punishment in Islam
As we've said, Islam use the punishment not to just punish, but to make some fear from the bad acts, from example, if we look how does the prophet's friends use the rule of cutting the hand of the thieves we find that: the child, the crazy and the poor with its meaning will not be punished by this rule, but it will be with the prison rule. Also for killing people, Islam made a rule which everybody knows just a small part of it (and because of this we have terrorists), which is: kill who kills, it is not as simple as you think, this rule has many conditions to make it happens:
1) This rule is for a man who kills in voluntary
2) For the man who is in his best conditions, health and environment
3) This rule MUST be applied by the judge and not anyone
4) It is for the man who is guilty with a prove and not witnesses
And for meif the Islamic world returns to his law, it will be the best place for humanity to live, in fact, the crimes will disappeared because the fear from punishment and people will have their honor and their lives as never they had, without mentioning the good conditions for a child to grow up.
We all know that there is an end of the world, we have a lord to worship before the time is off, so it is better to us to learn about other cultures, either religions, and then we can judge them and choose the true one without any doubtand trust me, to understand Islam rules you should know the way of its thinking.
