HOW I LOST 70lbs AFTER BABY? Small changes in your lifestyle can make a BIG difference!

*Get Moving, regain your independence*

I was released from the hospital 2 days after my son was born, we went home to our apartment. Well the next morning I was out of Ibuprofen, and in a truck load of pain. I am a single mom and it being a week day all of my family was at work. So I bundled up my boy,

carried that monster stroller and his 20lb car seat down 2 flights of stairs, walked 15 minutes up the road to sobeys on the snowy sidewalks to get me some Ibuprofen. I realized that day that I am the only one there is to get things done. So ever since that day we've been on the move. If we need something then we go get it. I was blessed that summer by some very great new friends after the birth of my son. All together there are about 6 of us "Yummy Mummies" who are our very own support group. ANY time of day or night these girls are there for each other. All of us are single Mom's who are just fine with that fact.

*Develop a NEW routine, one that works for you and your child. What ever you do, DO NOT fall back into old habbits. Get a new groove. Don't be afraid to change things up from time to time * If we were still home at 10am and we hadn't started getting ready for our day, my son would start to get fussy and annoyed. (almost like he was saying "Come on Mom, what's our plan today? Why aren't we dressed yet? hahaha!) Every body loved to walk and it did us all a world of good!

*Make New Friends, who also have children. Your priorities will be very much the same*

Had it not been for these friends to thrive alongside. I don't know where I might have been in this last year. On the mornings where I told myself I was going to have my own little pity party that day and do nothing, I would get a phone call from one of my girls saying that they'd been up for a while and needed to get out of the house to avoid going a little batty. So we would pack up for the day and meet out front. Most of the time we really didn't have a destination, just to Tim Horton's first and where ever from there, after we got our daily treat! Sometimes we'd spend the afternoon just hanging out at the duck pond, under a nice shady tree. Our kids couldn't have been happier. They love being outside in the fresh air. Some days we would walk for close to 8 hours stopping for a bite to eat in the park, a bum change and some play time.

*Keep Moving, find any reason you can to walk. It may be faster to just take the bus,
