You only get one chance to make a first impression, make it the best one.

There are many first date turn offs and mistakes that one should avoid. You see, the first date is the only chance one gets to leave a lasting impression. Leaving a favorable one is very vital. Below are the errors one should not make.

1) Having sex with someone on the first date is the worst mistake you can make.

When you sleep with someone without truly knowing them, you introduce physical feelings prematurely into the equation. Your judgement will be clouded by temporary infatuation. The person you are trying to impress will look at you as "easy" and then wonder how many other men or women you've slept with. If you want a meaningful relationship with them, refrain from sex.

2) Telling the person you have an agenda.

For example, He asks you, "What are your goals?" You say, " Well I know I need to be married by next year." My clock is ticking so loudly, I can't sleep at night." "Hey, You look like a person I could marry and have pretty children with."
"Would you marry me?".This is not a good idea. Trust that this first date would be your last.

3) Telling your date about your exes.

Why would a person come on a date just to hear about how good you use to have with your ex boyfriend Justin until you found about his obsession with toe nails? Make sense? This makes your date uncomfortable and might I add a little afraid.

4) Talking too much on a first date is big turn off.

If your date asks you what your favorite color is, do not respond as if you are giving the presidential address. You do not have to go into why and when you started to like the color red. A simple "yes" or "no" is fine. Keep your date simple and fun. Be cool and calm.

5) Talking on your cell phone is not only a turn off, it's rude rude rude.

No one comes on a first date to hear someone chat on the phone to there your sister. By doing this, you tell your date that you're not interested in them. They will not go out with you again unless they need to borrow your cellphone to make an important call.

6) Talking about yourself the whole time is another no no.

You will come off self absorbed and superficial.

7) Bad manners.

Remember this is the first date, not your one year anniversary. You have not spent enough time with this person to be having burping contests. You will be seen as a slob and quite disgusting.

8) Passing gas on the first date is like shooting yourself in the foot.

Why would you do that? It is a stinky habit. If you have gas, politely excuse yourself from the table and go outside. Do not fart the national anthem. You will not go past the first date.

These are some of the biggest turn offs and mistakes you can do on a first date. Keep in mind that the first impression is the last. What you do on the first date will forever remain in the mind of that special man or woman.
