As a person who has been thin all my life, I just wanted to clarify a few items. For people when they look at me and say "I hate you because you are so skinny", let me tell you that it's just as hard for me to gain the weight as it is for someone to lose it. Health wise it can be very hard on a person in similar ways as it would be for someone who is overweight.
I had never been over the 100lbs mark (unless I was pregnant, and then I was only 115lbs) during my life. My doctor says for my height I should weigh at least 110lbs. I know some people would think that this 10lb difference doesn't make much of a difference, but it really does. It's just as hard for me to gain that extra 10lbs as it is for someone to lose it.
A couple years ago I did topple the 108lb mark, and I never felt better in my life. I had more energy, I slept better and I was a happier person all the way around because I felt I looked better. But, due to stress I lost 13lbs in four months and I have never been able to get it back.
So, if you see a skinny (I hate that word) person on the street and envy them, don't as they may be having the same difficulties as you with their weight issues.
