27 Waterfalls Hike gives travelers a chance to experience walking and swimming upstream from waterfall to waterfall and just enjoy the outdoors and scenic beauty. The hours of operation are from 8am-2pm and lunch is provided.
The Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve is one of the best kept secrets in Punta Canta. The reserve is full of wildlife and exotic animals. You can take a cool dip in one of the 12 lagoons. The Taino Indians called the lagoons "The Eyes".
The day just wouldn't be complete without stopping off at Lake Enriquillo Clago Enriquillo.
The 13 mile long lake is very close to the Haiti border and is considered the lowest point in the Caribbean. Many tourists visit this location just to observe the crocodiles.
Monte Cristi National Park is within close proximity of Lake Enriquillo. The park was nicknamed "El Morro" for the tall mesa within it that overlooks the ocean.
Last but not least, The Gri Gri Lagoon. The lagoon is all fresh water and it is covered with mango trees.
The outdoor activities that The Dominican Republic offers are endless. There is always something to do on this Island of paradise.
