Product review: Body Shop Exfoliating Gloves

I am forever buying beauty products and spend a small fortune on new ones each month. I am particularly fond of Nougat Exfoliating Body Wash and I use two 200ml bottles a month. Each bottle of Nougat Exfoliating Body Wash cost me 18 so I was spending 36 per month which is quite expensive for just one product. So when I spotted the Exfoliating gloves in the Body Shop for 3 I decided to buy them. The main reason I bought them was because they were cheap and if I liked them then I would save over 430 per year because I would no longer buy Nougat Exfoliating Body Wash.

The exfoliating gloves just look like a normal pair of white gloves you would wear in the winter weather. The only difference is that the exfoliating gloves are made from a slightly scratchy synthetic material, similar to a scouring pad. I was a bit wary about using the gloves at first because they felt far too abrasive when they were dry, and I thought that they would be too harsh on my skin and cause it some damage. When the gloves are wet they feel a lot softer and less abrasive, they look different too they don't look as white they change to a see through colour.

The gloves have elastic in them so they stretch to fit the size of your hands perfectly. They also have tighter elastic round the wrist so as they have a tighter feel and stay on when you are exfoliating your body. I find that the gloves are easier to put on when they are wet because they don't scratch my hands as much and make them feel itchy.

Using the exfoliating gloves is much easier and quicker than using an exfoliating body wash and it saves a lot of time. You can use the exfoliating gloves in a bath or in the shower, and still achieve the same results. I prefer to use them in the bath because after I have exfoliated I can relax in the bath surrounded by bubbles.

The gloves are really easy to use, to use the gloves all you have to do is
(1) Put them on (either dry or wet)
(2) Once they are wet apply shower gel or soap to them to lather them up
(3) Rub your body in a circular motion to exfoliate.

I find that using a thick shower creams such as Dove or Radox Care for Me is better because it produces a thick lather and the gloves glide across my skin more easily. Another added benefit of using Dove or Radox Care for me is the fact that they contain moisturising cream so your skin is getting moisturised and exfoliated at the same time.

Once you have finished using the exfoliating gloves all you have to do is give them a rinse with clean water,
