The Irony of Love
I am love. I am you. I am him. I am her.
I am the tears falling from her eyes.
I am the early morning sunrise.
I am the sweetest first kiss,
a whisper, a moment of pure bliss.
I am the link of passion and desire,
the spark of a heavenly fire.
I am the ache deep in your soul.
I am the only thing that makes you whole.
I am your reason for living.
I am your reason for quitting.
I am why you break down at night.
I am your hearts every delight.
I am what makes him care.
I am what makes her do things she's never dared.
I am the sun shining off her eye. I am more than every star
in the night sky.
I am love. I am a word, a power, a strength.
I am a force. A wave of emotion, I am pure
and hopeless devotion. I am the slayer of hearts
and destroyer of minds. I am a sign and an omen for all times.
I am what you need. I am what he craves.
I am guilty of capturing thousands of slaves.
I am what you fear.
I am all that you hold dear.
I am Love. I am you. I am me.
I am all that she sees and all he will ever need.
I am the ultimate high and the sweetest goodbye.
A sweet moment past, a lifetime I'll last.
A memory, a tragedy, no other emotion
is quite like me.
I am love. I am pure and wise.
I'll be her demise.
I am a fever , hot in your veins.
I will be the cause of all of his pain.
I am Love. Once in me, no one,
will ever be the same.
