Thoughts about where Cristiano Ronaldo should play

Such a talent is Cristiano Ronaldo that which ever team he plays for he would do an undoubted great job for the team that he either chooses to sign for or whether he stays at Old Trafford.

From his successes with Manchester United in recent years he has won all the highest honours at club level. What makes it so great is that the recent years achievement has made it so special for himself and his country as perhaps not many strikers get to win a Champions league medal and consistently play for club and country that he does.

I feel that Ronaldo in signing for another big European club like Real Madrid who seemingly are interested in signing him, would be a good move financially for him and a chance to be closer to his home in Portugal. The status at Real Madrid is such a great potential move as the fans would idol him straightaway, and also there would be less privacy invasions from the media speculation and writers in newspapers continously writing criticising articles. A potential move to Real would be interesting as the stadium numbers are higher than they are in Old Trafford and in the Premiership generally.

Such a move would make his own style of playing his own game and this would perhaps interact well with other Real Madrid players at the moment. The synergistic effects on the pitch would be taken also.

Less importantly the weather would be so much more different in that Ronaldo would be avoiding spells of rain and cold weather that might in the long term be detrimental to his own style of playing football. I am sure that there is more to come from Ronaldo on the pitch. His rhythm I feel against the top clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea is dented by playing in the cold and playing against top quality defenders and opposing midfield players. The tempo and style of the game in Spain would definitely suit Ronaldo's style of play and neutral fans would be able to see his progress much more clearer by perhaps facing arguably weaker opposition in Spain as opposed to the Premiership.

There can be no doubt that Ronaldo's influence at Manchester United has increased the club standing and in terms of footballing results. So many times Ronaldo over the past few years has scored impressive goals from all over the park and his speed and talent is excellent. In Ronaldo moving clubs would be a welcome boost and perhaps would provide a sigh of relief to defenders in the Premiership outside of Manchester United and this reluctance of Sir Alex to see Ronaldo move to Spain is evident in keeping the best players approach.
