IS THE MEDIA SHOWING BIAS IN FAVOR OF OBAMA? No.
The media is not showing bias in favor of Senator Obama. In my opinion, the media is not showing bias in favor of Senator Obama, it is a theme that is catching fire and unfortunately for Senator Obama, his media coverage will slowly become biased against him.
"After Obama won enough delegates to win the nomination, the Project For Excellence In Journalism took a weekly look at 300 political stories in newspapers, magazines and television. In 77 percent of the stories, Obama played an important role, and 51 percent featured McCain. That's an edge," said Rosenthiel. "That is a big enough difference that it is an uneven playing field probably for McCain. And there is more to come. As Obama continues his foreign travels to the Middle East and Europe, he will be interviewed by all three network anchors - CBS' Katie Couric on Tuesday, ABC's Charles Gibson on Eednesday and NBC's Brian Williams on Thursday. While Obama's likely to endure tough questions from the networks, the amount of media attention will probably remain lopsided. A lot of Republicans are very frustrated with what they see is the uncritical coverage of Barack Obama's candidacy, said David Mark, a senior writer at Politico.com." written by Kathy Frankovic of CBS.
"John McCain has taken three foreign trips in the past four months, all unaccompanied by a single network anchor ...The senator from Illinois has been drawing far more media attention than his Republican rival from Arizona. With this week's Newsweek cover story on Obama's religious beliefs, he has been featured on Time and Newsweek covers 12 times in the past three years, compared with five for McCain. This week's New Yorker includes a 14,600-word piece on Obama's political rise in Chicago. Obama and his wife, Michelle, were recently on the cover of Us Weekly and were interviewed - with their young daughters, which Obama later said he regretted - by Access Hollywood. When McCain visited Britain, France and Israel in March and met with their leaders, no network anchors tagged along. NBC and ABC sent correspondents; CBS did not. None of the evening newscasts covered his trip to Canada last month. And McCain's swing through Colombia and Mexico two weeks ago was barely covered, although NBC and ABC sent correspondents." written by OOHRAH OF the Drudge Retort
