Thanks to celebrities like Jessica Simpson and Eva Longoria, clip-in hair extensions are becoming increasingly popular for women of all races. How to use the hair extension snap clips varies greatly depending on the type of hair piece you purchase, but all are relatively east to insert into your own hair. Hair extension snap clips are a quick and easy way to add instant length and glamour to your look. You'll feel instantly sexy and they are a quick fix to a bad hair day. My husband loves when I wear mine!

I have purchased several types of the clip-in extensions including the HairDo by Jessica Simpson and Ken Paves. With these extensions you simply divide your hair in half and clip up the top half. Secure the bottom half up with a few bobby pins and snap the extension clips in. The extension cover the entire bottom half of your head and the result is amazingly realistic. The synthetic versions are much more affordable and look great up until the first time you wash them. For this reason, I didn't ultimately feel the HairDo was worth the eighty or so dollars I paid for it.

After trying several other brands of the snap clip hair extensions my favorite turned out to be the sectional type pieces by EuroNext Remy Clip-In 14-Inch Hair Extensions which can be purchased at Sally's Beauty Supply stores. One of the main reasons these pieces are so great is that they are human hair and even cost a bit less than the HairDo synthetic pieces. My EuroNext extensions have lasted well over a year and I wash, dry, brush, curl and even dye them! These are inserted in layers and feature four long pieces (called "wefts") for the back portion of your head and two smaller pieces for each side of your head. The instructions on how to place them are included in the package and are helpful for the first few times you wear them. In no time at all, you'll be able to put them in a five minutes or less and you will LOVE the result. They even look professional enough to wear to work and I have never had a piece come lose or fall out. As I have thick hair, I actually wear two sets of the extensions for a super full look. When I have highlights, I use two sets in the colors of my hair and highlights.

One EuroNext Extension package contents include one 8-inch wide weft, one 7-inch wide weft, one 6- inch wide weft, one 5-3/4-inch wide weft, four 1-1/2-inch wide wefts and two 1-inch wide wefts with no snap clips attached that are useful for color testing if you plan to dye them. The smallest weft goes at the base of your neck and the widest weft is the last piece closest to the top of your head. If you have thin hair be sure to leave enough of your own hair up top so that your extensions don't peak through and give away your beauty secret!
