Mysteries of Truth
As I walk into the desert the sun kisses the horizon
A golden yellow, blended with a montage of other colors, like a painted picture of brush strokes,
From the water colored clouds of the Gods my gaze lingers, eyes cast on
The winds blow torridly but their is a serene whisper in them that the chaotic wind never revokes.
Trapped in this scene of nature that seems so simple and kind
There is a story, many in fact, of life, and death, and re-birth
One that reminds you that there's more to everything than what strangles the mind
A tale to tell of creation and secrets and passion and its dearth.
Disturbing the gentle sands a jack rabbit breaks the peace,
Like a bat out of hell, sprinting to the tarnished gates of its dank domain
Fast and quick, strong and free, not needing anyone's release,
And while we don't realize it, this is how it will, and we should, remain.
Through the corner of a gaze a green tinted chameleon flitters to its hole,
Proving there's anarchy and purpose to every life no matter how small or uncouth.
And as the twisted trees of the desert plunge into the waning sun that the moon stole
The desert night shrouds another night containing mysteries of truth.
