Poetry: Freedom

by Shara Thepsenavong

Created on: July 25, 2008

Being born into this world,
I felt so alive.
I hope for a day
when, like a phoenix, I can arise.

Day in and Day out
I hope for a chance
to find my story of honor
through all these tales of tragic romance.

What more can I want?
Asks the hardened people of before.
I want to be free
to ease my way to risky skies

The world holds me in, trapped and caught in a thoughtful air
This world, I wish to rescue from its own snares
