Tramadol in my opinion is one of the worse synthetic opiate drugs ever manufactured. Ultram, the tradename for Tramadol as approved by the FDA is still one of the most concealed and lied about drugs in the medical community. It might be as bad as Xanex in regards to Doctor's claiming how safe it is.

Tramadol is lethal for a variety of reasons. The first being that a lot of doctor's that still prescribe it insist it is not a narcotic. There are individuals to this very day that are taking this drug that are under the impression that it is non habit forming and not a narcotic. It is a opiate, period.

It is now a controlled substance in AZ. ULtram should never be prescribed to a individual that has a history of physical dependence on opiates. It maybe a good alternative to a person never prescribed a opiate in their entire life. For one month and that is it. My Opinion.

Ultram is two drugs in one. It has SSI(Serotonin) reuptake inhibiting properties that can result in severe depression when stopped aruptly. This property in conjunction with the weak opiate is what gives some user's the supposed punch of energy that they feel when taken. Side effects have been noted almost immediately after taking this drug in some people. Blood shot eyes, sensations like you are going to have a stroke. These people are the fortunate one's. For they are the lucky one's that threw them in the toilet.

Ultram withdrawal in my opinion is far worse than conventional opiate withdrawal because of the serptonin inhibiting reuptake properties. It is a weak opiate that randomly targets MU2 or 1 receptors. I actually forgot which one but does not hit both. In other word's it is a confused drug that really does not no where to target the pain. The drug in combination with the weak opiate and Serotonin inhibiting properties has a nine hour half-life. This means 9 hours after taking a dose you still have half of that dose still dormant in you. Thus with a pill that is calibrated in 50mg doses you still have 25 mg's of that pill in you dormant 9 hours later. Now this can be taken up to 4 times a day and the dosage at it's max can be up to 400mg's a day. So with this in mind we can see how fast Ultram can build up inside you and how long it takes for it to get out of your system. It has been noted that a person steady on Ultram after stopping will still have the drug in them for up to 21 days. And my sources on Ultram are the best in the world.
