In A Perfect World
In a perfect world,
I'd come home after a long day of work.
Dinner's on the table,
Take off my tie; untuck my shirt.
In a perfect world,
We'd have two kids: one girl, one boy
Who'd get straight A's till college,
Who'd be my pride and joy.
In a perfect world,
Time'd stop when we kissed, when we'd hug.
It'd feel like we were on ecstacy
When we made perfect love.
In a perfect world,
There'd be no remorse, No regret.
I never would've doubted that with you,
My heart was set.
I'm not gonna lie to you:
But I don't feel the same way
I did the first time our eyes met,
And I think you and I aren't
Ready for commitment yet.
Maybe if we took a break,
That'd save a little time.
I'm not saying this to hurt you,
But it's just what's on my mind.
In a perfect world,
We'd settle this over coffee as I said "It's all my fault",
But this world's not perfect;
Too fast paced for time to talk.
Maybe we just need room, some space to breathe.
Maybe you're not really happy
And maybe I'm not really pleased.
I'm not saying I didn't love you, because that's far from the truth,
But in a world like this'
People fall out of love like me and you.
Even if I wanted to, I can't make things like they use to be.
Put yourself in my shoes:
All I can say is "Sorry."
I don't feel the same way
I did the first time our eyes met,
And I think you and I aren't
Ready for commitment yet.
Maybe if we took a break,
That'd save a little time.
I'm not saying this to hurt you,
But it's just what's on my mind.
In a perfect world,
I'd wrap my arms aroun you,
And say "I love you",
But I gotta be real.
This world's not perfect and
Nothing's gonna change.
So we might as well let go
Cause holding on's just not the same.
The more we put it off,
The longer it'll hurt.
In a perfect world
Breaking up wouldn't make us feel worse.
I don't feel the same way
I did the first time our eyes met,
(In a perfect world)
And I think you and I aren't
Ready for commitment yet.
(Maybe we just need room)
Maybe if we took a break,
That'd save a little time.
(All I can say is "Sorry.")
I'm not saying this to hurt you,
But it's just what's on my mind.
(I gotta be real)

This is a song I started about falling out of love and trying to make your future intentions clear to another about what
Sunny angel on my screen
Western one Pacific sea
But why is that you're a thousand miles from me
But just four hours away

Here's a story I must tell to all those loving couples I wish stay strong.
So they don't fall out

You told me not to fall in love with you
Not really good at doing what I'm told
Lately I've been feeling restless
And things
