Strange names for babies with celebrity parents? Well a lot of ordinary people are giving their children quirky strange names these days. You just have to know a couple of people with children and you may hear some unusual names. Why is this so? I don't know why. May be they are all trying to be unusual.

Mind you there are also some names that will sound strange and be spelt strange to British people or people from the continent of America. Such names I am talking about are non western names such as those from Africa, India, and Asia and of course Eastern Europe. Such names to me tend to be lovely; by that I mean that they tend to have lovely meanings behind these names and a sort of rhythm when pronouncing these names. I feel such names need to be respected and admired. These are names like Mina, Obina etc.

Going back to celebrity parents and the strange names they give their kids. I must say lo and behold I have come across names they have given their kids. Some of these names have and are still making me cringe. Wow! one such name is the name given by the Celebrity Nicole Kidman who recently named her daughter on the day the baby was born Sunday. I feel so sorry for this kid. This name is absurd. Other celebrities whose children have strange names are a long time actress called Cher - her daughter is called Chasity. Bob Geldof's children by late TV presenter Paula Yates has daughters named Trixiebelle, Fife and Peaches. Three of Michael Jackson's children are named Prince and Paris and the last one is called Blanket. Can you imagine the name "Blanket?" How is Michael Jackson's last born son feeling now? As he's no longer a baby? Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt named biological daughter Shiloh and adopted ones Zahara and Maddox. Just how more ridiculous can it get?

Why do these people give their children such names? I believe it's for attention and they want to be unique. I believe now it has become a competition by celebrities to see who can be more outlandish with their choice of names.

Have these parents not stopped to think of the child's/children sake.? No. Their children most likely are getting teased as it is. Are these parents not feeling the backlash from their kids yet? I am sure some parents have already felt their children's wraith or they will in the near future. I just think these parents should come down to earth and get it together for their children's sakes.
