Karey has been dating Kevin since her second year in high school. To everyone around them, they seemed like the perfect couple. Only Karey knew better. The relationship had started out like a dream come true.
Karey was the shy, timid girl next door type, and Kevin was the popular charmer. They had met one night at a party, and spent most of the night talking. By the end of the party, Kevin had asked her out, and she had said yes.
The first month was bliss. Kevin took Karey out to expensive restaurants, and out to the most popular night clubs. It was on one of their club nights, that Karey was given her first real glimpse into Kevin's true nature. Karey was not a big drinker, she rarely drank more that a glass of wine or a couple beers.
At first Kevin would only have one or two drinks himself, but the more times that they went to the clubs, the more drinks Kevin began drinking. Karey also began to notice other changes in his demeanor the more that they went out. Where Kevin had been the most charming of dates, he began to act crude and inconsiderate.
Karey told herself that he must be going through something tough in his life. It was their second year anniversary and Kevin told Karey that they would be going to a night club to celebrate with some friends. Since Karey did not have many friends, what he really meant was that they were going out to party with his friends.
The night started out well, everyone offered their congratulations, on the couple's wonderful relationship. Kevin had even ordered a bottle of Champaign in order to make proper toast. Karey was starting to relax and enjoy herself. After a few moments the Champaign arrived and Kevin handed everyone a glass.
When everyone held a filed glass, Kevin stood up and walked over to Karey. He stood in front of her and got down on one knee. "Karey, these last two years have been the most wonderful years of my life. Before I met you I felt like something in my life was missing. I was right, you were missing. I love you and I want us to make our lives together. Karey Will you marry me?" Kevin asked gracing her with his most charming smiles.
At first Karey was stunned speechless. A big part of her worried that they were rushing things. While the other, was swayed by his charming manner. They got along wonderfully. We haven't even made love and he still loves me enough to ask him to marry me. That has to count for something. Karey thought to herself. Karey smiled happily and accepted his proposal.
"Yes, I will marry
