A buying guide to baby/infant/toddler swings

Finding the Perfect Baby/Infant/Toddler Swing

As the topic title suggests, you will be instructed on how to find the perfect baby/infant/toddler swing for your child. There are a couple different types of baby/infant/toddler swings, including wood, plastic, and metal. The top 10 things to look for when buying a baby/infant/toddler swing are:
o Safety features (five-point harness, upright position/recline position)

- Should not be able to be tipped over and should be stable
o New models (newer models tend to be more updated, thus making your child safer and more comfortable)
o New NOT used (used swings may be cheaper but also will not be in as good working condition, which may put your baby/infant/toddler at risk)
o Indoor or outdoor swing
- Outdoor- more centered for summer, spring, and fall and is best put in your backyard but gives your child more fresh air
- Indoor- can be used all-year round and is easier to watch over your baby during use
o Portable or traditional
- Portable- foldable and smaller so it can be taken on trips
- Traditional- option of side-to-side movement or back-and-forth movement but some baby/infant/toddler swings include both movement options
o Battery-operated or plug
- Battery-operated- battery expenses could become pretty big but can be used anywhere
- Plug- can be plugged into the wall so it is cheaper but is more restricted to being close to an outlet
o Comfort
- Lots of padding is better
o Different speeds
o Possible sound if your baby likes listening to music
o Open top
- Easier to remove your kid from the swing without hurting him/her

Buying baby/infant/toddler swings does not have to be hard! With this list of information, you are ready to go out and shop for one. Two good, trusted brands are Fisher-Price and Graco. Have fun with your new swing!
