Beneath the Cherry Tree
Beneath the beautiful cherry tree
A new love has soon to bloom
So my heart I'll pledge to thee
In hopes I'll see you soon
Beneath the beautiful cherry tree
In the shelter of its flowers
I read the letters you sent to me
Bound by love's firm powers
Beneath the beautiful Cherry tree
I hold a single promise in my hand
Dreaming that us may soon be we
Joined by a vow and band
Beneath the beautiful cherry tree
A newborn baby lies
I wish that you could hear and see
Our little girl's first cries
Beneath the beautiful cherry tree
I wait for you alone
For our little girl of only three
Now sleeps beneath a stone
Beneath the beautiful cherry tree
We meet with an embrace
Ready to forever be
as tears roll down my face
Beneath the beautiful cherry tree
Three headstones now do rest
A symbol of the memory
A family so blessed

On its branches blowing free
