Sweet Serinity
One lone drum heard in rhythm.
Climbing to the heavens,
echoing in to the night,
my pulse quickens as the blade appears.
The corner of my eye catches that glimpse goodbye.
Sweat dripping from my pores,
endless need to survive,
choking bitterly on the tears I cried.
At least my heart did not betray me.
Spirit of life, set me free.
This night calls to me,
the drumming ends, so begins the silence
The blade appears so near.
Harsh breath in the night,
your eyes gave me away,
laying in waste, my heart ceased.
The blade felt so sweet.
