We all want to eat things that are good for us. Sometimes people don't consider the amounts they are eating and think that because it is good for you means you can eat as much of it as you want.

Like anything in this world, too much of anything is a bad thing. Eating too much of something can be hazardous, while others might just cause various side effects and issues.

Yogurt is no different than anything in our diet. Yes, yogurt is good for you. Too much of it may not be.

Your body needs certain amounts of vitamins and minerals, as well as calories and fat. Depending on the person, these amounts vary.

But what happens when you have, say, too much calcium intake. Well, of course depending on the person, side effects occur. Your body can only use so much of what it takes in. The rest of the vitamin or mineral gets spilled over. You can develop such things as kidney stones.

Eating too much yogurt specifically may, or may not be unhealthy. This of course depends on the individual. Some people may be fine, others may not be. The yogurt itself is not necessarily that bad thing. There are things that are added to yogurt such as fruits and high fructose corn syrup. Too much high fructose corn syrup is bad for you, which can in turn making eating too much yogurt bad for you.

However, if you like to eat yogurt, don't' stop. But try to stay away from yogurt that contains high fructose corn syrup and eat yogurt that is low in fat.

When eating too much of something, some things that might happen are vomiting, diarrhea, upset stomach, headaches, and many other issues.

If there is an overdose of some vitamins, more serious things can happen to the body. Some can cause organ failure, coma and even death.

Too much of anything is not good for you. Balance and variety in your diet are key to ensure that you are getting proper nutrition and not eating too much of something.

We all know water is essential to our body; after all, we are mostly made of water. But you can drink too much water in a day and "drown" the body. Fortunately, this happening is rare and almost unheard of, but it can and has happened.

When it comes to eating anything, whether or not there is such thing as eating too much, or eating too much can cause health concerns; everything no matter what it is should be eaten in moderation to ensure proper nutrition and curb side effects.
