Angie's Song
Today was just a normal day, then
News of your demise
That's when all the laughter ended with
Evanescing smiles
Burdens so overwhelmingly
Blotted out the sun
As these bitter tears broke through the silence
Mourning has begun
Running circles in my mind, I'm
Trying to understand
Why you are no longer here with me
Holding tight my hand
Is there any wonder that these tears fall
To an empty space
Where you once gave love and life and
Gave to it a face
But the darkness overcame your light, and
Took you far away
Leaving bitter memories behind
Leaving us this day
