Poetry: Me & you

Memories from deep within.
So many things forgotten begin again.
Millions of thoughts go on by,
In just a blink of an eye.
Yet one will stop and take its rest,
Caught in the web of the memories nest.

A memory of love from a time gone by,
Keeps springing forth from the past.
Memories of what once was,
And still should be.
Memories of you and me.

A love that was true,
One we became.
Memories that bring both joy and pain.
So much time has gone by.
Connected at the soul are you and I.

My heart fills with thoughts of you,
At these moments I know you are thinking of me.
Forever connected are you and I.
Together again someday we will be.
Its in the stars, Its our destiny.
