Secrets and memories contained within,
Given into my care.
Memories of the past.
Dreams of what the future may hold.
Deep inside precious memories I keep alive.
A trinket from a time past.
A poem from a lover.
Lift my lid and peek inside this old box,
You might be surprised at what you discover.
A smile to your face I may bring,
As once forgotten memories back to life spring.
Hopes and dreams that faded and died,
Once again spring back alive,
Just from one peek inside.
An old box I might be,
But a special magic is contained within me.
Hopes and memories, dreams from the past.
These things kept within me will always last.
An old box I am.
An old box I might be,
But contained within,
Is the magic of precious memories.
