It is one of the most spectacular places in the world. It is approximately two hours from the heart of Vancouver Canada. Whistler Blackcomb is one the most top Ski resorts in the world, it is one of the only places on this earth where one can be left completely speechless by just one of the fantastic mountain views.
Whistler Blackcomb resort is basically a pedestrian village that has signed trails that link most shops and restaurants as well as most of the hotels. Which makes this one of the great vacations that does not require cars or vehicles of any type and that is somewhat of a great thing for our environment. This place has something for everyone from history and culture to a great night life atmosphere and world class restaurants.
Whistler Blackcomb has a population of approximately 9000. And attracts more than 1.5 Million tourists each year. And here is some of what we have to offer the rest of the world,
- There is a Gondola ride to see Lakes that are 2 km from the pristine Mountain top.
- Trail guided naturalist tours.
- Mountain Bike tours
- World class Golf Courses
The availability of wonderful and fantastic food and dinning there is absolutely no end. There is something for everyone from the family on a great ski vacation to world class fine dinning.
And as for part of Canada's history the Native community is always present in the Whistler and Squamish area's. And they do have so much culture to offer this world of visitors. It can be one of the most amazing cultures to learn about. So I think you should check this place out.

In case anyone has forgotten Whistler Blackcomb is home to world class Downhill skiing and Snowboarding. Here is the place to check out first,
- Whistler/ Blackcomb Ski and Snowboard school.
And as the world know it will be the home of 2010 Winter Olympics that hopefully proves to be the best yet.
