Today, fitness-oriented ads are all over the place. TV commercials, billboards, magazines, even the back of cereal boxes. In 2003, total annual fitness industry revenues in America tallied up to $14.8 billion. 14.8 billion dollars.
But experts still say that above all, above all the fitness memberships, expensive universal machines, body weight workouts remain the best and most effecient. Using just budy weight and inexpensive barbells or a pullup bar, one can remain military fit.
The following excersises can tone every major part of your body. Excuse the advertising clich, but in less than 15 minutes a day, you can whip your body into shape in a hurry.
Abs:
-Crunches
-Situps
-6 inch leg lifts
-Wall sits (also legs)
Chest:
-Pushups
-Widegrip pushups
-Diamond (close-grip) pushups
Arms:
-Pullups
-Barbell curls
-Bench dips (be creative - use a couch and automon)
Legs:
-Simple squats
-Slow squats (self-explanatory...)
-Wall sits (also abs)
Just do each of these lifts until your muscles reach near-exhaustion (the workout is harder and harder until you feel your muscles begin to give). Once you get a good feel for how many reps you should do, develop a routine. You will find your growth in strength will be exponential, and you can increase your reps as you see fit.
All these workouts require is COMMITMENT and WILL. Its up to you how well they work.
