THE JOY OF MY FAITH
At one of the darkest points in my life
While battling loneliness, fear and strife
When I was afraid I'd never find my way
Alone against the world, I'd sway
From the very brink of the edge of hell
Where I had barely managed to crawl so well
You came blazing back into my world
My confusion and rage you gently unfurled
You showed me that I was indeed loved too
Even though I had turned my back on you
On everyone, for the sake of peace and serenity
For years you waited quiet, extremely patiently
My sanity you selflessly returned to me
Balance you give me daily you see
Your gentle influence on my life is priceless
You are my crazy road trip partner, guiltless
Yes, I've been there for you too its true
But these last 10 months, it's been you
You've steered my boat away from fears
You've held my hand and dried my tears
We've sucessfully banished demons together
Dropped everything to run amok with each other
You healed me and I am terrified with you gone
It will come rushing back to overwhelm me again
You're energy is a faint and far bright light
And one I will face to the north each night
To commune with you in your new incarnation
Until I too can escape to the northern region
You are my Joy. You've changed my life.
