Sometime in the middle
of the night
I awake to the sound
of your breath
that was not there
or anywhere near
without trace or clue
just a knowledge of you
somewhere, out there
without the sorrow
I know, I endure
like a fossil left
in a soft stone
like a wound
I feel
everywhere
And still I know
I will forever
and always
want one more dance
with you
