Reflections: Creativity

Where is it when you need it most ? Einstein had it. Michael Jordan or maybe even Bill Russell or Guttenburg perhaps. Certaintly it is something that has a highly positive energy form that can draw off simple elements to increase upon it's strenghs. Artists have creativity without a doubt, as do mechanics and teachers. Everybody has creativity in some form or another. The ultimate creator of the universe ? Looking at today's headlines, I would say that whoever comes up with a solution to our energy needs would be described as a hero to the cause. The challenge has been asked for by Senator John Mcaine, who himself is running for president of the United States. This would be an example of high creativity and planning at it's finest. Finding a global solution to our energy needs, saving the environment, making it cost effective and keeping everybody happy at the same time. Now how could this stroke of genius happen ? That's right. Creativity. With an ever increasing population on our global surface and not including the space station crew, creativity should be at an all time high seeking new boundaries never before heard of or seen. Whatever the forms of creativity there are there will always be a demand for it. The N.Y. stock market is a form of creativity harvested nearly 100 years ago and still going strong. Twenty four dollars was spent on the purchase of Long Island many moons ago. What a deal ! That kind of real estate no longer exists, except maybe in some saharan desert somewhere. But even there it's probably worth millions because of the oil underground. I think of creativity as something that is in high demand for the 21 st century, today and in the future. Throughout history these kinds of thinking are what propels society into the future, keeping it focused on it's needs and desires, likes and dislikes. Malthusian thought may have been a little cynical for the time. Maybe he was having a bad day. Creativity ! Maybe a snickers bar can bring it on. A ray of sunshine for solar energy could do as well. Sugar for ethanol type propelants. Production of creativity is always welcome anywhere, anytime. Who does not like creativity ? Hey Santa,is your help wanted sign up yet ? I hope you are not procrstinating this year and the little elves haven't gone on strike due to wage demands or rifts. We need oil.Could you find it in your heart to dig deep and find us some ? Being creative. The opposite of destruction.
