A part of you dies
When someone you love leaves...
When he goes to a better world,
You only have his memories to keep.
Shared moments of joy and sorrow
Flash in front of your eyes...
Showing you to love more
And hope more, as time flies.
A splash of colour turns grey
Tears fade your vision each day...
You're reminded of what he wanted
What he left you before passing away.
He gave you joy and asked only
That he be remembered for what he was...
Funny, smart, a joy in your life
Each moment, each day, everywhere he was.
Smiles and tears go hand in hand
With every memory that still runs deep...
A part of you dies
When someone you love leaves.
