He was dangerous
Like a loose cannon
Says he's going to get on his feet
but I never saw him standin'
He spills viscous words on me
they leave a permanent stain
to understand his mind
was impossible to attain
Negative people surround him
and he became possessed
Love for the streets
he became obsessed
He says "I need you
I'm goin' to change
I'll do anything for you
my priorities I'll rearrange"
Thinks he has good intentions
I think they're mainly cruel
I still stuck around
So who was really the fool?
I tried to leave him
I tried to disengage
Leave from this relationship
full of turbulence and rage
We shared love and hate
there was no in between
He would see the fire in me
and pour gasoline
One day we'd make love
there would be so much passion
the next day I'd walk out
in a disorderly fashion
And when he wanted something
there would be no hesitation
the problem was he couldn't
control his temptations
I knew that he loved me
but that wasn't enough
I got sick and tired
of calling his bluff
he sucked out my energy
and left my heart bruised
i loved him to death but
my love was abused
I stared in his eyes
said my last goodbye
because you cant change a man
no matter how hard you try.

Scared To Say
One more day passes slowly
And another hour dies
I rest my head in my hands
And wait
Time stops
And I wonder why
I'm
As the sun slowly sets, I face another cold and lonely night
He gets all slicked up, out the door he goes and soon his truck

Love is the rain.
A light haze settling on tropical skin,
Gently soaking through clothing
Leaving a clammy,
Hot aftermath.
Love
THE GREAT PRETENDER
Tonight I must pretend you don't matter.
Tonight I must momentarily dismiss all these torturous thoughts
