Personally, I don't care let them be just as miserable as the rest of us. Isn't that how the joke goes? I admit not everything that happens in these relationships makes me comfortable but, then again I would imagine they often feel the same way about heterosexuals.
Many of these relationships between two men or two women often these days seem to be more successful than marriages between men and women anyway. I have been watching the rush to join the married folk of our "Free Country" so let them have this wonderful world of marriage and divorce.
While living in the most understanding country in the world it amazes me that so many base this decision entirely on a book. That's right I said it, and do you realize that many of these couples are also religious and follow a cleaner path than many heterosexual couples do? Why should you look down your nose at what two people do in their own lives if you're not paying their bills or living with them?
My Aunt has been married to a man and honestly she seems so much happier living in Texas with the woman she found who makes her happy. This woman is always polite to our family; she cares for us as if we were her own family. With so many dysfunctional families out there with a man and woman as parents what would the difference truly be?
If other people want to be more responsible for someone else why honestly should the rest of us even care? How do you expect to live your life if every time you wanted to make a decision for yourself as an adult you're told you're not responsible enough to make that decision? Maybe some people should spend more time praising their God and less time telling others what is moral or acceptable in the most understanding and free country in the world.
All too often these days both heterosexual and homosexual families are struggling financially due to the economic turmoil all over the world. I think we honestly have more important things to worry about than who marries who. How many of these judgmental people can look service-men and women in the eye and tell them the sacrifices you are making is not for everyone?
I didn't volunteer for the service as I am sure many others didn't just so heterosexual, homophobic bible reading people can look down their noses at whatever another healthy, loving couple does. Though they have the right to their opinion that is all it should be is an opinion not a right to legally oppose their marrying. Otherwise, I want to oppose people who do not know how to care for themselves from every having children.
Both are a privileged for which others have sacrificed years ago to prevent anyone from taking your rights from you. Now, we are back to over-regulation not just in business with taxes but, with personal freedoms yet again. With no real rhyme or reason other than a misinterpretation of what being a forgiving, non-judgmental Christian truly means.
