Poetry: Falling out of love

Crash Into Day

Is it asking too much to remove your hand,
so that you won't be near me?
Is it asking too much to leave my side
and take this love from me?
Because I didn't mean to lead you
into thinking we have a chance.
You were just someone to hold me
and very soon, I'll end this dance.

We can walk outside, and catch our breath,
and watch the night crash into day.
We can walk outside, and catch our breath,
and watch the night crash into day.

Is it asking too much to help me here
and never call me again?
Is it asking too much to break this spell
that has you bound to this sin?
Because I didn't mean to cause you
to conjure up this love for me.
What you think we have is nothing.
So let me go; let me be free.

We can walk outside, and catch our breath,
and watch the night crash into day.
We can walk outside, and catch our breath,
and watch the night crash into day
