We lurk in full view
Others just pass on by
No one notices
The tears that we've cried
Our pain is invisible
Our shadows our own
Our partner is lonliness
We walk life alone
Invisible pain
The hardest to heal
The smiles we are smiling
Not ones we can feel
Social conditioning
Preventing exposure
Etiquette.... propriety
Sustain outer composure
Our lives are not happy
Our hearts do not glow
The hurt we are feeling
We're not able to show
Invisible pain
It lurks all around
It kills us inside
Without making a sound
