Because they live with us men, that is simply it in a nutshell. From Jock to Geek, Nerd to good looking Nice-guy, we are clowns. Driven in instances by our incredible ego's and beliefs. Guys will from early infancy act in ridiculous manner to raise a smile from a toddling girl, and this never stops. We wear aftershave and deodorant, even though both sting incredibly, aged 13. We will try shave none existent facial hair just to justify, the aftershave. I remember my Old Spice very well even after nearly 30 years. And if we happen to be in love then we are even bigger clowns,unstoppable even. Found acting in the most incredibly silly ways.

In fact love is a get out of clownage card. It allows the owner complete anonimity to feeling stupid. Or for that any public mockery from friends or fellow passing males, placated with the occassional, "he is smitten" passing around the room as you dance on a table semi-naked. Or show off in school or work and even begin writing poetry, no greater than pre-school level.

After 18 we introduce alcohol to enable us to perform these silly acts, so as to save face with the hood. This enormously expensive public stupidty may last until we are somehow awoken at 3am by the most ridiculously noisy screaming pink thing. Though when they grow somewhat they do become a source of much entertainment and make random acts of clownage, publically applauded.

Children allow us to revisit, sometimes painfully those activities of our youth, we missed growing Old. In old age well we are suckers for punishment, as we allow ourself no mercy in attempting to gracefully make our loves laugh, and I sometimes wonder, did she really want me to be this ever slowing changing old man that tells bad jokes. Or did she really want me to make her feel as I often wished to feel, revitalised and fit.

Yes women laugh more than men, because they work endlessly for an unappreciating clan of money spenders. But they are their clan and worth every bead of sweat. I have stayed home for 10 years as a home maker and as a parent and I know that the stereo typical home maker of yesterday, has a good reason to laugh. Though must confess towards the loved ones departure from home, the balance somehow levels out as working partners find pleasure of the peaceful home. they laugh more. home makers and women have so many more reasons to laugh.

And men supply those rerasons.
