How to best wear a mini skirt for you personally will depend on your appearance, and on the practicality of a particular skirt for its intended use. Your appearance counts because your body shape and height will affect how good, or bad, a certain style of mini skirt will look on you. Practicality counts as you will want to wear a mini skirt that not only suits you, but also suits any activity you carry out while wearing it.

Appearance.

It used to be that wearing mini skirts was fashionable only if you were under thirty years of age. Any younger and passers by would scoff and remark in a manner which was not compassionate, by mumbling under their collars that you were mutton dressed as lamb.

Happily, this has changed due to the fact that women are looking great for longer, taking better care of themselves, and have a better sense of style as they age than ever before. Even so, it is best to know your limitations when it comes to revealing tired legs which are out of condition.

As a rule of thumb, it is best to wear a mini without tights or leggings only if you have legs without your bodies own artistic version of the underground system spread out in the form of thread veins for all to see.

It is also advisable not to wear a mini skirt if you are overweight and conscious about making the best out of the great features you have. Pointing out your weight by wearing a mini skirt would take away from better attributes you could be making more prominent instead.

Practicality

Where you are going to wear a mini skirt, and for what occasion should be your next consideration. The type of mini skirt you may wear to an informal occasion should definitely be different from one you would wear to a formal one. Likewise, accessories that may accompany a skirt, and the material and style of the skirt itself, should be chosen by taking into account the temperature of the environment and image you wish to project to the world.

If attending a formal occasion where you feel it is acceptable to wear a mini skirt, a skirt suit may be appropriate, or a plain mini skirt made of matte, rather than shiny material without a busy pattern.

An office environment is not always the best place to wear a mini skirt, particularly if you want to be taken seriously. However, there are certain jobs where a relaxed atmosphere is called for, and a mini skirt accompanied by tights or leggings may be acceptable apparel.
